Aasim Cunningham
Managing Partner
Background: Aasim is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association as well as the Chicago Bar Association. Aasim earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and holds a B.A. from Hobart & William Smith Colleges.
For fun: Aasim enjoys playing pick-up basketball, listening to music, cooking, and spending summers in Spain with his wife and family.
Alexandra Lopez
Managing Partner
Background: Alexandra is admitted to practice to the Illinois State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Alexandra is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Alexandra has a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and earned a B.A. from The University of Michigan.
For fun: In her free time, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her dogs, trying new restaurants with her husband, and running along the Chicago Riverwalk.
Geraldine Arruela
Senior Associate
Background: Geraldine is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. Geraldine earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, and also holds a B.A. from DePaul University.
For fun: Outside of work, Geraldine enjoys spending time with her extended family, dancing, and traveling to new destinations.
Julian Love
Associate
Background: Julian is admitted to practice to the Illinois State Bar. Julian is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Julian hold a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and earned his B.A. from the University of Missouri.
For fun: In his spare time, Julian enjoys trying new restaurants in the city, going to the movies, and watching home improvement shows.
Jennifer Fragoso
Paralegal
Background: Jennifer graduated with a B.A. from Robert Morris University. Prior to joining Cunningham Lopez, Jennifer gained experience as a law clerk at a financial investment law firm. While in school, Jennifer was an intern for the Illinois Board of Education.
For fun: When not at work, Jennifer spends her time watching nature documentaries, playing with her nieces and nephews, and planning date nights with her husband.
Miriam Bolivar
Billing & Intake Manager
Background: Prior to joining Cunningham Lopez, Miriam provided litigation support at a legal services outsourcing firm. Miriam gained experience as legal assistant at an immigration law firm and also worked as an office administrator at a plaintiff’s firm.
For fun: Miriam enjoys taking her dogs for rides along Lake Shore Drive, enjoying views of Lake Michigan, and helping those in need through charity work.
